Intentionally Amazing In 2017

Hello again, It’s me, Joseph!  Happy New Year, Happy Day, Happy Everything!  I’m on the move again and quite honestly I’ve become unplugged.  Fear not, dear reader, it’s not a bad thing.  Au Contraire Mon Frere   Oh, would you look at me, being all tri-lingual. ( It’s official.  I can’t spell in three languages.)  Anyway, I digress.  I had the joy of spending the holidays in Cozumel and it got me to thinking some very big thoughts, which I strive to do at least once or twice a week and then some.  When I stay at an inclusive resort, I find that people are INCLUSIVE and it’s not in a judgy what-do-you-do-for-a-living-I-probably-make more-than- you- kind of way;  it’s more of a what-are-you-all-about and where-are-you-from, and what’s-in-that-fun-cocktail kind of way.  Dear reader, this type of engaging encounter should happen on a daily basis and it can, if we all become intentionally amazing and committed to learning something new.

Oh, at first glance, intentionally amazing sounds like some type of self-help crapola.  I know, but dig deeper with me. What if we took some time in 2017 to literally learn something new or do what we have never done before? (Hint: I know I’m already signed up for a huge adventure.)  Eat at a Lebanese restaurant.  Volunteer at a soup kitchen.  Enter a 5k. Learn to crochet.  Perform an aerial art.  The possibilities are endless and the only rule to this grand adventure, which I know you’ll want to come on, is that it must be something you have never done before.  In fact, I’ll go first.  I’m going to turn 40 this year and I’ve never done that before! (#MayAdventure)  I also just completed my first barre class.  When you decide to be intentionally amazing instead of perfect, a weight is lifted. Of course,  you won’t know everything.  It’s all brand new. That’s the beauty of it!  Watch our Facebook Page.  You can join us on our adventures each month or just find out what happened and if we need bail money. (#jokingnotjoking)

Grand adventures require grand thoughts.  There comes a time when all of us need to unplug and disconnect so that we can reconnect with what truly matters.  On Friday, January 20th, my office will be closed. I will go to the gym, return to my house, lock the doors, disconnect the phones, computers, and the incessant news, both real and fake.  I will be alone with my thoughts and I will welcome them as dear friends and invite them to stay for awhile.  My mind will wander until it lands on 9 more ideas for the coming year.  If you unplug with me, you’ll have your first adventure on the books as well!  Pick any day in January and you’re in. #JanuaryUnplug

At, we have the joy and privilege of helping people choose their lives, which in our case includes deciding where to live or where to invest.  If that’s not an adventure, I don’t know what is.   Maybe one of your monthly experiences in 2017 will include making a move or setting up a property portfolio. We’ll be here every step of the way.

In the meantime, we send the very best wishes for a New Year that is intentionally amazing, just like you!

Joseph, Joey, and Victoria
