Somewhere Between Merry and Happy

Hello again, it's me Joseph! We're right between "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year" so I thought it would be a fantabulous time to connect. In fact, a personal goal of mine for 2019 is to make more connections or disconnections if need be. Now more than ever, it's important to realize that you really do get to #chooseyourlife.

Connect with Color

You'll be happy to know that I have not lost my passion for fashion. 2019 will bring even more color and most likely flamingos. If you're going to make a statement, make it. When you're decking the halls, don't be afraid to deck yourself, just be sure to #checkyourself.

Connect with Cultures

Truly, our only hope for peace on earth is to learn more about each other. Personally, I really make every effort to try and celebrate everything: America's birthday, Canada's birthday, Hanukkah, Cinco de Mayo, you name it. Diversity is more than delightful; it's a gateway to kindness. In fact, stay tuned. While we should really find something to celebrate every day, I've just decided that I'm going to create my own holiday in 2019. (Be sure to follow my MovingRochester.com FB page for the big reveal, as soon as it comes to me! Look- an adventure is waiting to happen!

Connect with those You Care About

You may see me post about my adventures from time to time on my social media. That's not me bragging; it's me carving out time and capturing moments with people that really mean a lot to me. I don't ever want to lose sight of what matters. In a world of instant everything, it is possible to slow down and kick back with the people you care about.

Connect the Dots

I'd like to believe that people have good intentions. (Except for you know who. #NotMyPresident ) It's just that sometimes, information gets lost in the translation; especially when the stakes and emotions run high. A little grace goes a long way in helping find the missing pieces that can restore and rebuild relationships. All it may take is a deep breath and a willingness to try.

Disconnect

Sometimes it really is all about me and it should be all about you. Turn off the phone, all the sounds and distractions and decide what matters. Just think. What is it in 2019 that you need to be your very best self? You can connect, reconnect or disconnect if you need to, from whatever is toxic. You won't know what you need until you give it some thought and give yourself permission to #chooseyourlife

Speaking of choosing, I've had the honor and privilege of helping people choose where they want to live in 2018 and I'm looking forward to helping even more in 2019. Whether you want to buy, sell, rent, invest or just consider the possibilities, let's connect!

In the meantime, enjoy a safe and Happy New Year!

Joseph
