Hello again, it's me Joseph and I'm on the move. It's officially summer #june20 and I'm ready to set sail. Truth be told, I don't really pay attention to the calendar when it comes to seasons, my summer usually lasts to until the beginning of October, but since some have declared it so, let's kick it off right!
It's not really summer or vacation, unless you've stayed in one of our properties. Urban vibe or making waves on the waterfront, we've got you covered. Thread count, conceirge services, waffle love and more, you'll be impressed with what we do best. Don't just take my word for it. Check out these reviews!
Plan to Jam
While some of this year's festivals are postponed until next year, there's still plenty of music to be had:
By land or sea, city or suburbs, east or west, there's a reason to sing and do your thing.
Genesee River Trail
Hike, bike, boat or take a casual stroll. There's so much to see along this trail. And, should you be in need of a little refreshment along the way, there's the Genesee Brew House and Corn Hill Landing nearby!
Special Alert- be sure to follow PineappleROC and MovingRochester social media to meet my new tricycle. (#threewheelin)
This urban eatery is a must for all your foodie fans. With multiple vendors, there's something for everyone. Not to mention, summer is a great time to catch up on what's new in Rochester, including this venue and to do what you can to support local businesses!
I know; you love Abbotts. Go ahead and make your summer pilgrimage. We love celebrating traditions and creating new ones. Please know there's enough ice cream love to go around, my friend. It's just not really summer though until you've checked out the latest treats at Hedonist Ice Cream.
Listen carefully, some of these flavors could be calling your name right now:
Cherry Ice Cream
Raspberry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (May Contain Nuts)
Berry Granola Ice Cream (May Contain Gluten)
Raspberry Lemonade Sorbet (Vegan/ Dairy Free)
Strawberry Ice Cream
Vanilla Ice Cream
Salted Caramel Ice Crea
Chocolate Sorbet (Vegan/Dairy-Free)
Bacon Peanut Caramel Ice Cream
Seneca Park Zoo
(Can we just pause for a moment and check out those eyelashes on the giraffe though)
There are also several trails throughout the Zoo property for all you Fitbit fans that want to get your steps in!
No summer would be complete without an outdoor dining adventure on Park Avenue. There are so many small businesses to choose from offering everything from street tacos, delightful cocktails, Mediterrean flair, scrumptious sweets, savory steaks, brunch time treats and so much more. Should you happen to be in the St. Paul Quarter, don't miss the Pane Vino Patio.
So apparently, there's 7 items on my 5 item bucket list. Go ahead, choose your own adventure. The truth is that this list is just the beginning of all you can experience this summer in Rochester and I hope you do. I hope you make the best of it.
Enjoy and have a safe and Happy 4th.
